The best remedy for those who are frightened, lonely or unhappy, is to go outside, somewhere where they can be alone; alone with the sky, nature and God. For then and only then can you feel that everything is as it should be and that God wants people to be happy amid nature's beauty and simplicity.
As long as this exists, and that should be for ever, I know that there will be solace for every sorrow,
whatever the circumstances. I firmly believe that nature can bring comfort to all who suffer.
- Anne Frank

You came into the world with nothing and you'll leave it with nothing - except the indelible record of your conduct in this life, for good or ill

Too often we underestimate the power of a touch, a smile, a kind word, a listening ear, an honest compliment or the smallest act of caring, all of which have the potential to turn a life around

No kind action ever stops with itself. One kind action leads to another. Good example is followed.
A single act of kindness throws out roots in all directions, and the roots spring up and make new trees.
The greatest work that kindness does to others is that it makes them kind themselves
- Amelia Earhart

I was brought up with the Golden Rule; "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you".
However, there has to be lines drawn with tolerance and compassion. Otherwise they go from being a positive to a negative trait.
That, along with developed crowd tolerance, has been part of the stimuli of gross overpopulation that has in turn led to a trajectory toward mass extinction and very long term biosphere harm.
Wisdom for the day;

I swore never to be silent whenever and wherever human beings endure suffering and humiliation.
We must always take sides.
Neutrality helps the oppressor, never the victim. Silence encourages the tormentor, never the tormented.

There may be times when we are powerless to prevent injustice, but there must never be a time when we fail to protest

How far I am away from the true temper of soul, this letter in its changing uncertain moods, its scorn and bitterness, its aspirations and failure to realise those aspirations, shows you quite clearly.
But do not forget in what a terrible school I am sitting at my task.
And incomplete, imperfect, as I am, yet from me you may have still much to gain.
You came to me to learn the pleasure of life and the pleasure of art. Perhaps I am chosen to teach you something much more wonderful - the meaning of sorrow and its beauty.
- Oscar Wilde
