you will note a few posters are one in the same person here.

barb=branmuffin, bubbafs, q, barb, and possibly a few others.

this was verified by ip address. in the admin forum which i have access to. is this post:

RF: he likes to say he's an anarchist and anti-govt but he's really quite conservative. Its not that he's anti-govt, its more that he's pro-HIS-government. He wants laws against everything but only to his advantage. If he doesn't like a law, he thinks its fine to disobey it - except if someone else does it. Such as Carrot Cove's rabbit rescue. He'll rant about something like that for months and months.

He's also said things that were very much in favor of the religious right.

He's nothing but a religious right fanatic trying to pass as something he dosn't even really understand.

Grandfather as cockfighter: he's told that story before but then denied it later. Sometimes the g-father was a cockfighter but other times he only raised them to sell to others. He once said the g-father had "thousands" of fighting birds but at another time said there were only 4. Several people called him on that story and others where there were discrepancies.

He is:
***** ****** <<<folks this was a real address and
123 changed Street phone#s which i edited myself.
anytown, st *****-****

***-***-****

Interesting is that he has said that there is nothing wrong with people posting my address because its on the internet. Well, that's where I found all of this info about him. What do you think his reaction would be if I posted it?

this was posted in an admin only thread in which there were some very radical animal rights activists involved. real life threats were not out of the realm of possibility.

Which has exactly nothing to do with anything here since your IP information does not match those used. It seems the "proof" is more a belief than evidenced.

The problem is that if the IP is for a major ISP or is connected to a major ISP it only proves the same IP was used at different times. I personally know of two posters on this board who have used the same IP in posting but are not related nor have they met each other to their knowledge. Unless you go back through the ISP to connect the IP to a specific user it is nothing more than an indicator.

Then you seem to miss the point that Josh had many posters who had the same link to porn as it suited him. In fact he put a list of IP's on here that were banned that could choke a horse. I have no doubt Josh was major concerned and cognizant of the IP dishonesty levels since he noted so many of them..

wijim... even if you are able to "prove" that a user here is the same as a user somewhere else, so what? I'm not going to ban someone because you had a bad interaction on another board.

Everyone will be treated equally here and if they violate the rules, they will be dealt with. Meanwhile, your posts are bordering on harassment, which is ironic given what you are accusing her of. Just chill out and let people fall on their own swords if they are going to.

Er, not exactly. Your connection is either a static or dynamic IP address. If it is a static number your address stays the same all the way down to the last digit and is indeed unique to your computer. If it is a dynamic address you are assigned a different number each time you sign on but the last two numbers are usually the only ones that change on a dynamic connection and the first 12 or 14 can be used to tell what domain is being used, ie AOL or earthlink. Then there's proxies but that's another story :-)

With the dynamic IP address prevelent in the major ISP systems where connections are not constant.

Just from my IP list, I dislike looking at anyone else's for this, I have a wide range of non-similar numbers for the large blocks of posts which I can be sure were from one of two locations. There are some of the IP addresses with the last 3-4 digits similar to others but there is a wide variety of base numbers as well and my ISP has remained the same forever. One of the IP addresses was even the same as another poster here who to my knowledge I have never met, much less shared a connection ... internet or otherwise.
