Surprised he won, shocked by the margin of victory.

Didn't see that coming. It was like Brexit all over again.

Who knows, The Donald might turn out okay. Either way, all Americans need to come together for the sake of the country. (Has the country been more divided since the 1860s???) The world needs a strong and united USA.

Nope, The Donald is going to do damage that may take decades to fix. His transition person for the environment is a well known "skeptic" and he has already said he wanted to remove the Department of Education and the Environmental Protection Agency. His thoughts were the environment will be fine but business is harmed by the regulations.

He was dignified in his victory speech and gracious to Hillary and Obama, so ... Maybe the aura of Office and the responsibility that goes with it will change him for the better. Lets hope so.

Rabble rousing rhetoric to rocking halls is one thing. Actually doing these things ... Another matter.

As for the environment: 99% of people are clued up and signed in. With other world leaders putting the pressure on him not to repeal the environmental acts, I think he'll see sense. Besides, I doubt he'd get it past Congress even if he did try to go for it.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

Knight notes: 5 million voted for third parties and 95 million didn't vote at all ... This I do not understand.

Congress is controlled by the same party with some just as opposed to any measures to combat climate change. The same Congress has been limiting the US EPA through budget restrictions for years. Trump has had experience in his developments concerning what he thinks are regulations that "harm" business.

As for the voting, too many wanted another candidate because of the propaganda and various other reasons.

I'm one of those who didn't vote and I feel no guilt whatsoever. You want my vote; do something to earn it. Neither choice did so.

From what I've seen thus far, Trump is someone with scale 9 dreams and plans, but has only scale 5 talent and experience. He's going to fail a lot and when Trump fails, he looks to distract and if that doesn't work; he seeks a scapegoat.

It's going to be a long 4 years..... #-o :-&
