Monday is such a wonderful day!! I learned yesterday about charges on a credit card I never use. The fraud control finally caught it and called because of the unusual activity. They kept the individual charges below a limit that may flag them due to the value. The card was still in my safe and it had not been used for someone to copy the number. What they think happened was the crooks generate a bunch of random credit card numbers for a few on-line purchases for low amounts. If the charge goes through they know it is a valid credit card number and proceed to use it until they are caught. So, if you have any credit cards you are always at risk even if you never use them..
Many of the vendors will take the charges off, but too many will not and there must be a complete dispute claim filed for each of the incidents.
