I gave up on vegetables a couple of years ago- they take too much water, and I have plenty of friends who always have plenty of extra at harvest time, so I get all the benefits without all the work.
I really enjoy flower gardening though (especially orchids!), will post some pictures when things get a little more filled out.
Grace, my parents live in Florida and everything they have on their property, my stepmom started from a seed or a potted plant. She throws her orchids out on their deck and does nothing to them, and they bloom like crazy every year. Makes me sick.
