Gross! The Explorer's Club Annual Dinner fare at the Waldorf this year. The theme is to eat what you might encounter out exploring, but at $1000 a plate, presentation (and sauces) are everything. This year's menu features goat testicles, shanks of kangaroo, skinned TX rattlesnakes, human-grade maggots, tarantula tempura or soy (heard the leg hairs get stuck in teeth and taste astringent like old Brazil nuts), calf eyeball fritters (gelatinous/chewy and makes your southern stomach contents head north), roasted mealy worms poking from tomatoes, etc. The orginal article was in The Week Magazine, but I can't find it online. Here's another. http://www.newsday.com/news/columnists/ ... -columnist |

No, no hook. It has a good bump in it like it's been broken, but no hook. |

I've never broke mine. Just looks that way. What on earth did you do to cause that? |
