Yeah, have fun. I'll have fun eating some fried catfish. Enjoy your salads and tofu!

Mrm. I believe we're having potato salad, special green beans, eggrolls, a fruit and veggie tray with dip, a cheese platter, sourdough bread bits with an olive oil dip, orange cream cheese wontons, triple chocolate brownies, and pudding parfaits with whipped cream. Everything (including the bread and whipped cream) will be homemade.

Ahhh, looking forward to tomorrow's food. My mom is putting a rub on a rack of ribs, and we'll give them some smoke of the grill. Plus I'm putting some shrimp on a stick, along with some cut up fresh peppers a customer gave me. Thought I'd go with garlic butter on some and some cajun seasoning on the others.

Better remember to bring the tums.

Got a new tank for the grill and about 10 steaks for the crew .... the oldest son brought back a copious amount of minor explosive devices from across the border ... and I have a cigar ready with which to light them ... it does not get much better than this. The only thing that would be better is for our troops to be able to spend this day with their other families (they are a family in and of themselves when deployed) here in the States.

Simper Fi, Mr. Venom <dips hat in your general direction and raises a beer in toast> and remembrance to those who gave their all for this celebration!

We're invited to our gay friends for a BBQ on Sat. (late 4th as their family arrives the weekend) so I'm bringing skewered grape tomatoes, buffalo mozzarella and fresh basil leaves drizzled with Marie's Italian Vinagrette (produce refrigerated section) and probably my tried & true pina colado cake minus the rum.

It is toooo hot here. We have moved the cookout time back to about 8 PM in the hopes it will be cool enough to touch the grill. The thermometer reads 100 in the shade and the humidity is only a couple of points below that ...

Have to get up very early to get anything done at all.

Huh.. I learned something new yesterday, apparently people have died for my right to eat meat. Ugh.

They had a real nice fireworks display at some park in Downtown Co. Springs.. I opted to watch them from my porch. :D The kids went to some fair with the neighbors and their kidlets.

Would that be the same as cherry tomatoes?

No grape tomatoes are smaller and usually a bit sweeter than cherry tomatoes.
