Aside from the hotwheels, barbies, etc. that most kids had.. what was your favorite toy growing up?

Mine was a stuffed Snoopy. I had that thing from when I was three until I was seventeen.

all of our time outside playing with other neighborhood kids, roller-skating
bike riding, playing street games.

 I'm going to have images of Grace with a bone in her hair now. :D

We played outside a lot to growing up. Lots of basketball, baseball, football, tree climbing, tag, etc. the good ol' days.

Grace... Operation rocks! The kids have that.. I hate the BZZZZZZZZZT sound it makes though.

When I was really young I had a barney doll I went everywhere with.

And I also had this radio. I was maybe 5 when my dad gave me this old radio I could barely carry. Anyway, I carried that radio everywhere until one day I dropped it on my foot and broke my toe or something. Then I was too scared of it.

Oh, and barbies were fun. Me and my sister would cut off all there hair, choke them, stomp on them, etc.

LOL RFM. You reminded me of my childhood vocation, and that was to be a nun. (my holy phase) I even had a habit (that's a nun's dress). It was a Halloween one, but to me it was real. It even had rosaries hanging from it. I used to wear that everywhere. Well in the house and yard and street. I went to Catholic grade school where the nuns used to terrorize and beat us. They'd send you home if your skirt wasn't the right length above your knees, or worse, to the Principal's office. They made us go to 7am mass every weekday and assigned a pew monitor and if you weren't there, you'd be called to the principal's office. I once had my bangs cut by an Edward Scissorhands nun. They were too long according to her (Beatle-like). The boys especially used to get the crap whacked outta them. They'd get their knuckles wapped with a ruler, steel edge side down. The girls got steel edge side up. I would play nun at home in my room. I'd seat all my stuffed animals on the bed, rows and rows like a classroom. I even had a desk, a chalk board and a ruler. I would beat the living crap out of those animals. Whack them straight across the room. Huh, I wonder if that's why I love animals so much today....

you know I'm kidding I hope Grace? You know I luvs ya.

Seriously though my favorite thing would have to be a slingshot my great grandpa made with me when I was spending a month with him and my great grandmother. It was a forked stick with the rubber bands being strips of old truck inner tube. That thing would draw back as far as you could reach and it could send a rock the size of a golf ball over a hundred yards. I still have it put back in the closet to this day. I carried that thing for at least five years before I felt I had outgrown it.

That was when I discovered my second favorite item....girls

Of course. BTW, can you PM me your identity if you're from FMB and I should know you?

My husband still has his sling shot from days gone by. He worships that thing...but doesn't use it thank God.
