I remember watching at Feugt Army Airfield in Germany, then later that year had the honor of seeing Armstrong with Bob Hope on a lucky day off from flying Dustoff in RVN.
On the way Feugt every day, I would pass the long driveway of the home of the very father of rocketry, but his caretaker said he was too old to receive visitors. He had inspired and taught Werner von Braun, who was an early influence(from his Disney specials) in my lifelong pursuit of science.
