Got into an interesting conversation with the dude at the car dealership the other day. We were yapping about what kind of cars we've had over the years. His list of course was much longer than mine..

So.. what cars have you had over the years?

My first car was a hand me down that me and both my sisters shared.. an older than heck diesel using Isuzu (I think it was an I Mark or something like that) that was this horrible tannish bronze color.

The next car was one I bought for $1 from my uncle who was moving.. a 1978 Chevy Nova (man I loved that car.. it went faster than fast) not sure what color it was.. mostly rust.

The next vehicle was one that me and the ex purchased together.. a 1960something VW bug..it was some funky green color when we got it but he rattlecanned it black (rattlecanned.. haven't heard that in a long time) I remember the license plate on that thing by heart.. *snicker*

Didn't drive for a long time after that.. my first car that was mine and mine alone was the 2001 Ford Escort... silver except if you looked close enough to see the scrape of white on the front bumper.

My new to me car is a 1989 Buick LeSabre. It's black. I'm jazzed about it. I think I may use some of my artistic skills and use it as a rolling canvas. I love this car. It'll be fun to get it on some of the back roads here and see how fast I can get it to go.. it's got more horsies than my Escort had.

Well, a long time ago....about 7 years....when I was 15 I worked til I had enough money to buy a 77 Ford F-250 with a 460. That was a good truck.

Then I bought an 83 Jeep CJ-7. Painted it and fixed it up. That thing looked brand new. That was a good Jeep, but I needed a truck again.

So I bought a 97 F-250 4X4 with a 460 again. It had straight pipes with 5" tips. That thing was a beast and was louder than you would believe. That was an awesome truck.

To ease the pain of buying gas, I bought an 05 Nissan Sentra. Had a nice Rockford Fosgate stereo in it, and it was much better on gas. 3 times better, actually. It was a good car, but it just wasn't fun to drive.

So, I traded the car and truck in on an 06 Mustang GT. Much better. I enjoy every drive in that car. I've had it up to 120, and it didn't take long to get there. When I go to New Mexico, I plan to peg it out at some point. Should be about 143. I think I'll keep this one for awhile.

'57 Chev, '65 Mustang convert., '69 Torino, '69 T-Bird, '64 Pontiac Wagon, '80 Subaru 4WD wagon, '64 Mooney Super 21(M20E), '87 Toyota 4WD pickup, 2003 Toyota Tacoma EC OR4WD SR5.

Oooh.. I like guessing games.

I'm going to guess the fastest was the Subaru wagon, the one that cost the most was the Pontiac wagon, the mileage of the fastest... uhm, 150,260, the mileage of the slowest..hrm.. 52,062... the best one for mileage is the T-bird.

First car was the 1950 Chevy Bel-Air my grandparents gave me when I was about 13.

First car purchased was a 1963 Jeep "kit" from the state DOT auction with the engine and rebuild kit in the rear. It would only do 40 mph but it would climb a tree at 40 mph.

First new car was a 1973 Mach 1 351 CJ that would fly. Totaled it the first time in 1976 due to a caliper sticking which was always a problem with Fords, but generally did not seize the pads like it did me.

Next was a 1974 Pinto to save on insurance. Followed by a 1976 Pinto, another 1973 Mustang, a 1971 Saab, the rebuilt original 1973 Mach 1, a 1976 Dodge pick up, another body for the original 1973 Mach 1 when it was total led the second time, Chevette again to save insurance after the total led Mach, 1978 Cougar Corsica, Celebrity, S-10, 4 Rangers, 3 Explorers, Miata, two dirt bikes, and 3 road bikes, I think that is it

First car was an Opel in the '60s that thing would putter around until the
engine got heated up then I'd hit that gas pedal and it would take off flying, then had an Austin America..that didn't last too long.

Later on a Pontiac LeMans convertible, my favorite was a '68 Mercury Cougar that was the coolest car, my half brother souped up the engine and we would take off in that car like a bat outta hell.

Just recently sold my '79 Ford T-Bird to a collector.

My current car is an old beat-up Escort LX hatchback...pretty much
the 'dog' car.

Oooh I want a T-bird. I almost bought an 1985 Firebird the other day.. but it had to much mechanical stuff wrong with it.

the T-Bird's today is nothing like the old ones...I think my favorite
T-Bird was the '65 or '68(not exactly sure) with the wing type tail
lights.

cars is in the past had elegance and class...I know they were
big 'ol gas guzzlers. My father used to drive us around in an
Oldsmobile 98..talk about big and HEAVY!

cars today all look the same with no personality.

Yeah the older T-birds are nice. I used to pass on on the way to school when I was a kid. Always told my siblings that I would have one someday. They got me a hotwheels version of it for Christmas once.

Some of the cars today have some personality. The new Mustangs are good looking.. and the new GT is nice too. I don't like these new cars that look like refrigerator boxes on wheels though. I did see a new Corvette on the showroom floor Saturday.. I don't care what anyone says, Corvettes have ALWAYS looked nice.

hey lets get a thread going on the ugliest cars today...

to me the car I think is the most UGLIEST is the Scion...it looks
like a square box...ugly...who would buy that!

sorry if anyone here has one..

ps: Corvettes are nice too.

Holy crap.. just looked the Scion up. The car didn't look bad.. then I found the box on wheels. Yikes.. people drive those things?! Ew ew ew ew ew ew.

Ooh.. what about the fugliest colors on cars. Sorry but taxi yellow should be reserved for taxis. And what's up with that horrible orange color that's popular now-a-days?! Bleh.

I have to agree. The car Scion has is not bad looking at all, but the box thing is hideous.

I hate to admit this about a chevy....but the corvettes have always been really nice cars.

There's actually a color you can get on a Mustang that I can't stand. Legend lime. I can think of a better name for the color. Any other color they make is good to go, except for that one.
