A CAT? Lordy be. I can't believe it. I thought you took the sign down. We also have one coming around not a month in the new place. A real mystery how they find us. I swore I'd never feed another skinny stray...but he's already got a name..Wiley. Yours?

We did take down the sign.. apparently the cats don't know that though. Jimmy went to take the trash out the other day and this cat came right in like it owned the place! Beautiful black and white one, very friendly. Jimmy fell in love with her and I got suckered into feeding it.. and now it's going to live in the garage. :? Started calling her Tux because she's black and white.. but the kids wanted to call her Tom after Tom and Jerry, we came to an agreement and her name is Tomasina Tux. :D

Wayne beautiful landscaping and home. Really.

Thank you, the landscaping is kind of my hobby to relieve stress from work related issues. I do not have much more that needs to be done so my wife thinks we will be moving soon. In fact she had a set of brochures and house plans from one of the development groups on the coffee table last night.

You've nudged me (unknowingly) to take some pictures and get in the the competition for foliage/landscaping.

Good, the more the merrier. We have seen pics of Josh's garden too.

I'll be submitting the tropical mix soon (I hope). You're in the south, correct? But not sub-tropics, correct?

Correct on both counts. We are on the border between the Piedmont and Sand hills so it is a very temperate climate which some light snow/ice in the winter.

I know what you mean, Wayne, about landscaping relieving stress. A lot of things frustrate me that actually help other people with stress, but something about plants really helps me out. When I move into my new place that I'm going to rent, I'll have some peach trees to take care of, and I'm going to grow a garden....along with some flowers and elephant ears and such. I'd really like to get some ivys and morning glorys going too.

Still picking hot peppers for the freezer. I did split some and fill them with cream cheese and froze them. I then brought them back out, dipped them in beer batter and put them in the deep fat fryer. Hope I get lot's of peppers because those were good.

Grace I took your advice on the pond. I had some bushes I was going to transplant anyway, so I put them behind the waterfall. Also moved some of my potted plants out from the deck to add some color. Currently I have the bridge sitting on some pavers, but I'm thinking of taking them out and setting the bridge on the liner so it will be a little closer to the water. Also brought home 18 goldfish from my sister's pond. So now there is something in there swimming around.

Now I'll just need to keep getting more rock to cover the liner and the ground between the patio and the pond.
