Cool, what type of telescope are you using? I wanted to be an astronomer back in the day.

Wow! That must be some powerful telescope to zero in on Wayne's head like that!

Seriously a brilliant shot. Is that Pluto before it went poof or the moon?

Photography is something I play around with. The picture was take with a 300mm Canon lens and the body is a Canon EoS 350D SLR. Great camera but dropped in price since I got it!!!!

It's the moon Grace.

I am thinking about a telescope but can't make my mind up what model to get. I am thinking about getting a Nexstar 11 gps. I am interested in Nebulars.

Many of the film cameras have dropped significantly due to the advent of digital technology and then those digital cameras dropped as this volume caused the production to increase and the technology changes.

I have toyed with the idea of one of the new GPS systems since I grew up with the old "spotting scope" adjustment to find the planets.

beautiful shot XBlack...clear and crisp!

ps: perhaps with your new telescope you can point it to the nearest
Quasar(3C273) located in Virgo which happens to be a supermassive
black-hole.

Quote:
The nearest quasar is 3C273, at a distance of about 2.5 billion light-years in Virgo (R.A. 12h 29.1m, Dec. +20° 3.1'), the first of its type to be identified (1963) and the brightest quasar in apparent magnitude (12.8); it is visible with a good 25-cm telescope under dark skies

moon flight
A jet plane passes in front of the full moon above Surfside, Fla., after taking off from Miami International Airport on Thursday.

Found this in today's paper and thought it was a good coincidence. Your moon hasn't rotated to this one's position yet (or vice versa). Cool.

Oh by the way, forget "the man in the moon", it's a bunny rabbit I always see. He's sitting upright on his haunches and you're looking at his profile (he's facing left or his right). See the 2 ears upper right? And round cotton ball tail on the bottom? =)

Can't see any photo bucket pix here due to firewall but I'll view tonight. What is it a Playboy Bunny? Do I know you or what? LOL.
