This morning at 0400 when I went for my daily jog,the temps were a mild 59 degrees. Now at 1030 I just went out back here at the station and saw the temp was 71. I'm wore my short sleeved uniform shirt today,but hidden in the trunk of my car is my heavy insulated jacket and a pair of gloves.

In the next 12 hours the temps are supposed to drop well over 40 degrees,and by this time tomorrow,we're supposed to have 2-4 inches of ice and upto 6 inches of snow,with the lows dipping down into the teens for the next few nights.

There's an old saying around here. If you don't like the weather.wait an hour.

The heavy rain hit here around 2100 last night and made life a living hell. We has to respond to numerous MVC's,since it was about the time churches let out. A lightning strike on an outbuilding around 0145,and limbs down on power lines around 0420......no sleep..and had to work over getting incident reports done. Since the rain started we have recieved nearly 4 inches.The temps are in the lower 40's right now,but will be much colder in the coming hours.
