West Boca couple accused of starving mother, 89, who was a 'mean little old lady'

Toby Fenn waited for his mother-in-law to die."I'm glad she's dead, now I can finally go on vacation for the first time," Fenn told a Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office investigator in September 2005, according to official documents
Fenn, 48, and his wife, Kerstin Fenn, 50, were charged with first-degree murder and aggravated abuse of an elderly person in August for allegedly allowing her mother, Elly Lorey, 89, to starve to death. Both are being held without bond, awaiting trial in county jail.
The two said they did nothing wrong and spoke to detectives willingly, according to court documents.
Lorey was apparently healthy in the months leading up to her death, living on a diet of Honey Buns for breakfast and chicken-flavored Ramen noodles for dinner, her family told investigators.
Kerstin Fenn, who was born in Germany and later moved to Austria, remembered her mother fondly. But when her mother got old, she changed, Kerstin Fenn told investigators.
"She was just a, you know, a mean little old lady," Kerstin Fenn said.
