I blame the parents. With statements like one mother made, how can her son accept the consequences for what he's (they've) done:
"He doesn't belong in jail," she said. "He's not a criminal."
So what defines a criminal [in her mind], if not murder?
The accused teens have pleaded not guilty to premeditated first-degree murder in the death of Gaynor and attempted murder of Raymond Perez and Jacques Pierre. A trial is still several months, if not a year, away. If convicted of murder, the teens could be sentenced to life in prison.
They should be beat with a baseball bat. Time's up.
