Jhawk I mentioned my backyard ponds but didn't get the pictures up like I said I would. It took me a bit to figure out the new digital camera. But I'm getting better.

Archer mentioned the Goldfinch and I said I wanted a picture of the Rose Breasted Grosbeak. I did get a chance to get the pair.

This is the pond I put in last summer. This one has the goldfish and catfish in it.



This is the smaller pond that is used as a birdbath. The deerhead came from a dead buck I found a couple years ago. The saddle birdhouse is more for show then an actual birdhouse.




Some days it get's a little crowded at the feeder.




And the Grosbeak pair.

Oh thanks so much for the photos. I envy you seeing those lovely grosbeaks.
I want a pond at least half an acre large. We should all have at least one dream that is unattainable.
I once had a work-colleague who had a natural stream running through the garden She and her husband grew water cress in one part. The residents were mallard and a pair of Mandarin ducks. Heavenly !

Pond I built this morning after seeing Hunter's pond.

Since I posted the picture above, I re-did it in a few minutes. I am using the bridge now in another pond that's almost done.

Ok this one I just did in front of the house. I traded in the bridge for Bhudda (Target).

LOL! Better get started Hunter as it'll take about twenty years for your background to grow up around your pond to look like Grace's.

Speaking of Grace and turkeys, it's interesting how things work out sometimes. Just took these a few minutes ago.

Luckily there weren't a lot of trees in the way so I could take these from my deck. And no my yard doesn't need mowing, they're in the pasture by my yard.

I re-did one of my ponds earlier so Hunter wouldn't feel so alone (the Bhudda's at the botton for a natural reef for the Koi). It still looks nice even though there aren't any 20 year old trees around it.

Is the wire fence to keep the alligators in?

We don't have that problem in Nebraska.
