Our planet is in on the verge of being destroyed by the human race. But it’s not too late to turn things around. One of the best ways to bring about this change is to use green power in place of fossil fuels.
The environmental thriller novel,
Green Power, addresses this problem by suggesting the use of methane gas as an alternate energy source. Since methane gas has twenty times more potential than carbon dioxide as a greenhouse gas, we must capture it instead of releasing it into our atmosphere. Once we trap this methane gas, we can use it to fire up generators and produce electricity.
The fictional novel,
Green Power, starts with a demonstration to close down a nuclear power plant. The protagonist, Dr. Ray Pendleton who led the protest, goes on to set up methane digesters on dairy farms. The antagonist, Dirk Hendrckson, loses his job as head of security after the nuclear power plant closes down. Dirk and his fellow Delta Valley militiamen are bent on destroying the professor and his alternate energy project. Bioterrorism is suspected when an epidemic breaks out, pointing to one of the methane power sources as the cause.
