Oh, I'm sorry to hear about that feller, J. Maybe he'll change his mind.

Gonna be cold here tonight, probably pressing 40. I'll be at work, but the furance is off so Ki-Ki will have to head to the basement to stay warm. I dread what heating bills will be like this winter!

No , his sister would know...(my best friend for over 50 yrs ). He's just busy. He's not handsome in the male -model way.. there was just that special WOW factor when I saw him last...and I WAS sober .

It's going to be in the mid 80's tonight, I am just sooooo excited about it too. I can't wait until the temps drop a big 5 degrees.

Autumn is here now. The nights are drawing in and it gets dark around 19:00. I'm having to switch on the central heating every afternoon.
The trees are turning into their Autumn foliage and the Virginia creeper on my wall is shedding its red and gold leaves.
Christmas will soon be upon us.
My special Christmas treat is watching the King's College choir on the TV. The concert begins with 'Once in Royal David's City ' and the choirboy who sings the first verse..solo..doesn't know he has been chosen until minutes before they 'go on air'.
I love the sound of choirboys...and Welsh choirs...wonderful !

What I hate though is when our traditional hymns, carols etc. are mucked about and given new music...sacrilege IMO.

Not too get too far off the subject, but I recall reading from somewhere about how during the battle of rourk's drift in Africa(140 brits vs 4000 Zulu's. Yow!) the welshmen would sing in defiance of the Zulu's swarming about them and the Zulu's chanting back. What a setting that had to been.

Err...the welsh choir mention by J. Sorry! My mind wanders about without the rest of me, sometimes.

There was a movie, 'Zulu', I believe, which was a colorful retelling of the battle of Rourk's drift. For us military buffs that battle is a insightful look into how battles are won as much by guts and courage as weapons.
