Well since this started with weather, I looked this morning and it made it down to 32 last night. About 6 degrees colder then the weatherman said it would be. I'm guessing I should have covered the radishes I'd planted 2 weeks ago. Plus I'll now have to pick off the last of the green tomatoes and put them in my basement and wait for them to ripen.

Bright spot is, there should be a lot less bugs flying around while sitting on the deer stand. Looking forward to this evening already.

Have you tried making green tomato chutney ?
I'll dig out a recipe if you wish !

Justed missed 40 last night. Actually wasn't too cold in the house when I got home(About 55) I turned the furance on, but had to close the windows and Ki-Ki doesn't much care for that. When he starts to pay the bills; he can decide when to open the windows!

you are really enjoying getting your whiney little way aren't you. I was not told to remove the avatars ..I did it because I wanted to. To be honest your tantrums during this proved what a hipocritical perpetual victim you are. It made you look even worse than usual...how you accomplished that I have no idea but you managed.

She was joking with Wayne nothing more. It was her way of letting him know she was over it.

His brain has a processor defect. What goes in, comes out in a misconstrued mess. That is why his arguments are so convoluted and miss the point. Especially when you give him an analogy - he takes everything literally. He also doesn't realize a joke when he sees it. Thinks it's whining? I am aware he's got a serious comprehension problem and maybe allowances should be made for this shortcoming. Nah.

Recipe for green tomato chutney.
I got this from the internet, but it is as near to my recipe as possible...

Ingredients:
5 lb (2.25 kg) green tomatoes
1 lb (500 g) onions
1 oz (25 g) salt
8 oz (250 g) seedless raisins
8 oz (250 g) sultanas
1 tablespoon whole black peppercorns
1 oz (25 g) root ginger
12 cloves
4 red chillies
1 lb (500 g) demerara sugar
1 pint (600 ml) malt vinegar
Method:
Wash and finely chop the tomatoes. Peel and finely chop the onions.

Place the two together in a bowl, sprinkle with the salt and leave for at least an hour.

Transfer into a pan with the raisins and sultanas. Bruise the ginger and chillies and put with the other spices into a piece of muslin, tie firmly and add to the pan with the vinegar.

Bring to the boil and then switch down to a simmer, add the sugar stirring frequently until dissolved.

Continue stirring occasionally and press onto the muslin bag until thickened.

Remove the muslin bag.

Pour into hot sterilized jars and seal.

Makes about 6 lb (3 kg) of chutney.

=P~ =P~ =P~

Heh, sometimes an old rooster needs some inspiration other than a bunch of old fat hens in order to crow.
