I used to be a designer/troubleshooter, gave it up for teaching Design Tech. That's where I got interested in the health of our planet. Eventually, I gave up teaching so I could concentrate on working out systems for ecological farming, which produce sustainable energy, much higher yields and a lot of wealth. Then I did a problem anaysis on global warming.
There isn't a problem. The system is working fine, it needs adjustment, not modification. But there isn't a workable "reduce emissions" scenario left. We need to get wealthy by producing sustainable energy material from within the biosphere. We do not need sackcloth and ashes, nor do we face Armageddon. Most countries can be self sufficient, it could break the cycle of poverty in the third world. A healthy planet is a wealthy planet.
Of course, if we carry on with the present stupidity, we
will face Armageddon - but it is a choice, not fate.
