It will take concerted effort on behalf of (probably) the EU. What seems certain is that the US should stay out of it.

Because like Europe did such an excellent job of protecting Jews in he second world war.

I'm not sure it is actually off-topic, but rather is not relevant to the current instantiation of this problem. Bottom line is that decisions made during European colonization are the root causes of many of the current problems we are facing in the middle east, Israel being no exception. I would imagine that Donnie's overall point would be more to the fact that Europe really hasn't had any successful interventions in the middle east. Why would we believe they could now?

Exactly. How could they with Russia pulling those nefarious UN strings & European behind the scenes tricks as they have for about 100 years now. Not that they don't have help behind closed doors from other European nations.

To stop the airstrikes by Israel, the rockets from Hamas must stop. What besides armed actions can manage this?

They seem locked in a cycle neither can break clear of.

Agreed, but don't you think it would be beneficial to have a less biased party broker a peace agreement? According to the poll, the EU is perceived to be less so.
Hamas is militant and the Palestinians voted them in because they offered education, health care, etc. to a people who have been heavily sanctioned and left to deal with the sewage they are living in. There are many ways to be violent and Israel is in no way innocent. It seems that the Palestinians, being the ones with far less power, are having temper tantrums.

I think it is possible to get to the root of the violence. Retaliating with bigger and more rockets is not a solution at all.

The rockets from Hamas must stop and to break clear of the violent cycle, the Palestinian people must be treated equally.

Anyway, maybe you'll find this blog interesting. I did.

Courage certainly comes in many forms. This could be one that changes the world; or at least one tiny corner of it.

MESSAGE:

Ezekiel .

Seventy elders of Israel were standing in front of them, with Jaazaniah son of Shaphan in the middle, and each held a censer from which rose the fragrant smoke of incense. 'Man,' he said to me, 'do you see what the elders of Israel are doing in the darkness, each at the shrine of his own carved image? They think that the Lord does not see them, or that he has forsaken the country. You will see', he said, 'yet more monstrous abominations which they practise'.

Do not seek internet interpretations of this for they are wrong but look deep into the wider scheme of things in which the real meaning lies.

All the best for the new year.

The Palestinians are harboring terrorists who use women and children as shields, hide in public places like hospitals, who target civilians and who say Israel must be destroyed. They chose that path.

"... if you put people in an open air prison, take away all the amenities of life such as electricity, water and medicine then kidnap and, in some cases kill, legally elected officials from the Palestinian state under whatever guise best fits the moment, what do you expect the people to do? Sit back and take it?"

I could cherry pick quotes too if I wanted to make excuses for Palestinians harboring terrorists.

Perhaps they should take it up with the all of the Arab nations around them that refuse to actually help their plight, but instead use them as pawns? The situation sucks, but lobbing missiles at Israel is not going to make it any better. Seriously... what are they trying to gain by doing so?

Just shows the stranglehold they have thanks to the Zionist funding.
