I must admit that being single has its advantages. I am my own boss, can have meals as and when I feel like it, no-one to try and boss me about or give me endless BS.
I can come and go as I please without endless questioning.
It does get lonely at times and the TV programmes are rubbish.
What I do miss is not having someone to talk to and discuss things with.
I think there are a lot of lonely people in the World. Only today I was reading on-line of a woman who lay dead for years without her body being discovered. I find that is really sad.
I suppose I shall have to cut my losses and try and grow old gracefully !!
You youngsters will no doubt realise that people tend to patronise you as you get older......that REALLY annoys me, when in truth I feel in my mind the same as I did when in my 30s.
So, Mothy...being old is just a state of mind. Keep being interested in what is going on in the World and cherish your REAL friends........they are very rare.
