slow progress.
Why would anyone want to ban circus animals? They should be allowed in just like other animals because if they were not it might hurt their little feelings.
Such a strange thing to say ..... Can't even begin to figure it.
A light hearted jab at the thought process. If "animals" are not suited for a circus, that would also raise questions about their suitabikity for pets. So, the discussion os "large animals" would narrow the range to exclude some of the more common pets, but you are still left with the issue of horses, for example, which are larger than many circus animals. Thus, we are now left with "large wild animals" which hopes to eliminate the overlap with domestic animals .... but still fails. How does one define a "wild animal"? One which is born in the wild? That would eliminate the captive born additions to the circus. It would also include wild born horses, such as the Chincoteague ponies, which are sold off to maintain the herd size each year (

Thus, the ban on circus animals seems to be nothing more than a selective target for incrimental elimination otherwise the emphasis would be on improved and /or consistent conditions.
