Economic left -2.00 2nd time -1.75 3rd -1.25 (halfway between Thatcher and Stalin)
Authoritarian +2.20 2nd time +2.72 3rd +3.64 (halfway between Hitler and Ghandi)
There must be some mistake, because I am a Theodore Roosevelt Nationalist Green Republican, and in favor of strict population quality/quantity control, wage and price controls, enforcing laws and collecting fines from illegals encouragers and anti-American orgs, stopping immigration with fining and deep Eisenhower deportations to the 30 million illegals, back to the draft for all gov't jobs this time--no exceptions, gov't pay to civilian levels instead of double, pay off the debt, no earmarks, balanced budget, forced sterilization of all below 120 IQ at puberty. Bring the troops home to our borders and coasts, and nuke the moslems or other enemies instead of expensive, fruitless ground wars, outlaw all V-8s, limit severely jet travel, no RVs/ATVs etc., and transition to all hybrid-electric vehicles, coal plants replaced with 100% efficient low waste nuclear fast reactors and modulars, break up the grid, promote independent solar/wind homes/businesses made with recycled materials, and encourage cottage farming and massive composting, including all human remains. Water recycling with very good filters, low water use, no superfluous use like lakes on golf courses in AZ or the Venetian in Las Vegas. No new construction allowed in water stressed areas, and no stealing Great Lakes or Ogallala Aquifer water for commercial profiteers. The answers to our problems. =D> =D> \:D/
The Ute Rule of Life would be incorporated in schools, laws, and religions.
4th time; Economic Left/Right: -2.25
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: 3.18

Took it again just to be sure. 2 or 3 questions I'm pretty sure I missed the first time around. Gave the others more consideration too.

I'm slightly libertarian now and a bit less right of center. I suppose if I did it 10 or 15 more times I'd have a nice contour plot.

Economic Left/Right: 3.38
Social Libertarian/Authoritarian: -0.10

Some of the questions are too either/or but I think that may be part of the determination process.

Buzzwords are tough too. I can see quite a number prematurely hitting a certain extreme on the hot topics, namely abortion and immigration, without having actually considered what was said or asked.

Yes. and some of the uestions are geared to unearthing those with very extreme views. For instance, "Our race has many superior ualities ....." Or "The only social responsibility of a company should be to deliver a profit for its shareholders." I don't know, but I think agreeing strongly to either would reuire a very right-leaning point of view. (The "cue" on my keyboard doesn't work. It's like having a lisp)

The item, "There are no savage or civilised people; there are only different cultures." I would tend to agree with, but then I also see that so called "civilised" cultures can behave in cave-man ways inspite of advanced technology. In fact, maybe even more brutal or "uncivilised" than the head hunters were and are. The kwestion of what it means to be civilised arises.

And then the item, "Mothers may have careers, but their first duty is to be homemakers" I naturally strongly disagree with this statement yet think it is a sad reflection on who we have become in that children are abandoned to institutions because their parents - not even one of them - can give their full attention to child-rearing because their time is taken up in either eking it out, or satisfying ambitions that are imposed. Virgina Slims, you can have it all, career woman therefore career mother. It used to be that only one parent needed to work. Now, that is very rare and kids end up latch-key, etc, etc. It has become increasinly expensive just to get by .... and kids pay for it. We work too much!

Anyway I scored economic L/R: -6.75 and social Lib/Author -6.10
