ummmm ..... we usually put the whole bunch o' beans in the chili, not just six o' them ....

Just not them long green beans, they do not seem to go well in chilli ......

Dinner was chicken salad in tortillas with jack cheese last night. Very tasty. Costco provded the Chicken salad, called Cape Cod chicken salad. Soooooooooo goood, try it if you get the chance.

One of those pasta meals in a bag, with what squash we salvalged from the garden before it dried up and blew away. Squash in butter and oil fried like green tomatoes ..... mmmmmmmmm

Hot dogs with homemade chili and slaw from the cabbage in our garden. Had to be a quick meal to get everything finished .... or mostly finished. Gave my younger son the projection TV so we had to move it to his house and then I got to set up the flat screen by myself since I neglected to have any of them help me get it out of the garage before they left. I was barely able to get it into the house and onto the new console in the entertainment center that replaced the speaker base the projection TV was on. The new TV was wider than the old eventhough I had gotten the same aspect ratio size. It was only an inch or so but it did cause two attempts to set that monster into place. The base was slightly taller than the display model so the shelf over top had to be removed. I will have to get new mounting hardware to make that work. The new bue-ray/DVD and surround sound system did nto connect to the cable box so I now only have surround sound for the DVD player connection. I am hoping to rectify that later this weekend if I can find some means to adapt the various connections available on the cable box and the DVD player. Long evening all the way around and it started early in order to have sufficient help in loading/unloading the projection system.

Whooo Hooooo movie night at Wayne's!!!!!!

We had dinner at our best friends house last night. We have been helping out with painting thier house for the last few weeks and they treated us to a fabulous dinner last night.

Chicken bacon mac and peas. OMG it was soooooooooooooo awesome.
Beer and Margaritas for our beverage pleasure. :)

I so live painting ... not. We were lucky to have plans the weekend the younger son had the "painting party" for their new house. It looks really good even without my help.

Pizza for dinner last night ... Ginny helped with the older son's wedding invitations while I did the rounds of the hardware stores looking for a replacement temperature control system for my shower and a lawnmower for the younger son.

Mexican for Lunch/dinner today. Late for luch and early for dinner, but too darned hot for two meals. I had several glasses of sweet tea and not much food since I did the yard work this morning before the triple digit thermometer readings.
