Update: Myth's 2nd season....

The cubs have played 53 of the 162 game schedule; Myth's 'big three' stats

Batting ave: .337 (3rd in the national league)

Homeruns: 14 (2nd in league)

Runs batted in: 37 (5th in league)

One of Myth's most exciting series was the three games at Safeco last season! He hit one of the longest homeruns recorded in the 3rd game of the set: it completely left the stadium(The roof was open)

That is pretty exiting!!. I try to make to Safeco field alt least once a year, we have a bus trip through Bill's work, but we're skipping it this year for some reason. It's a fun trip no matter who wins. I LOVE watching the pitching practice

I hear tell the roof-closing is impressive....and Safeco has the rep of having some of the most loud fans in all of baseball.

It is very cool to be there, and your right it is very loud! Views from the stadium are outstanding as well, most of the walking areas are covered outdoor areas on the individual floors.
I believe I saw the roof close once a long time ago, ummmm I think it was after a few $9.00 beers...the memory is vague, it's usually either been open or closed when I got there, depending on the weather.
We have a grand time when we go, we pack our little ice chests with food and refreshments (very high prices inside the stadium so we limit our purchases) and the bus gets there about 4 hours early, we walk all over to the local pubs and shops, if there are giveaways we go in to the stadium, get them and then get stamped, take our treasures to the bus and then take off walking again. Seattle is an amazing place.
I love the street musicians most of all. And sluggers our favorite bar.
There's also a Coyote Ugly type place we go where girls dance on the bar and bras hang from the ceiling

Who is myth? or what?
I haven't been into sports or watching them since I was a kid. They are all extremely overpaid in my book. So are senators, most government workers, actors, and lawyers.

Ezkiel Myth is a fictional baseball player I've been dabbing at writing a story about.
It all started out, I was trying to see just how much a single player can influence a team's won/loss record and it sort of took off from there.


Min. salary this season is 414,000 a year. On the road, players are given nearly 90 dollars a day 'meal-money'.

Must be nice....

Albert Pujols just signed on with the LA Angels for 254 MILLION bucks over 10 years...

The one good thing is at least he won't be batting as much against the cubs now....

Well, Myth's 3rd season got underway but there was turmoil....

1st; the cubs went for a upgrade and signed a Preston Shaw. He's a fine player, though a braggart and lover of the limelight. He proclaims the cubs are now 'his team' and he will lead them to the greatest of glory...from centerfield.

Myth's position, in other words. Or WAS his position: he's sent to learn to play 3rd base.

Myth and Shaw, not surprisely, are now not getting along at all. Compounding the problem is the fact that after two world-championship teams, the 2012 cubs are limping along near the bottom of the standing. And their manager; Jack 'cap' Gavin, seems distracted; not really making a professional efford.

But the worst comes on the 20th of may....

Myth has been getting 'car-stalked' but a huge white SUV: it parks for hours out in front of his appartment; it even followed him when he jogged to Wrigley field one day.

On the 20th, after a losing game vs the White sox; The SUV from hell unleashes hell: running over Myth as he crosses a street.

Myth will live; but has both bones in his lower left leg broken: he'll be out at least to August.

This is very hard on Myth: he loves for baseball and now it's taken away.
Plus, his girlfriend is away on a business trip....
