Yeah, the '66 T.V series been mentioned. I read somewhere it wasn't actually a live series, with live actors.

Another book I can think of is "Farmer in the sky." It's sci-fi by Heilen(I probably spelled that wrong) it's a bit dated and they'd have to work around that, but it's got a plotline I think that can really work.

A better version of "A boy and his dog" would be good and any version of "Jack of Shadows" would be even better still.

I don't usually watch the movies made from books to often, I am usually disappointed in them. They seem rushed and chopped up to me. But as far as books, I've read so many I can't even name my favorite.
I have been reading classics lately, and I am not sure whether movies have been made from them or not. I have recently read Little Women, Wuthering Heights, The Anne of Green Gables series, The Secret Garden, and now I am reading Pollyanna. All have been very good, although Wuthering Heights was very dark and a little depressing to me, although it kept my interest.
I have started Shogun, but keep changing to other books and going back so it is a slow go of it. I think a movie has been made of it (not sure) and I might like it better in this case as it is a very long book.
I enjoy books under 500 pages better than the lengthier ones. I have a short attention span I suppose.

books distract you from what is going on in the world. Books are like sleep.

Abnormal pyschology.

Seriously though I've only ever read two novels in my life those being Moonfleet and Jaws both bing made into films. I'm sure I have undiagnosed add as my mind seems to wander whilst watching a film and when I retune I've lost track.
