In The Biggest Secret (1999), Icke introduced the reptoid hypothesis. He identified the Brotherhood as originating from reptilians from the constellation Draco, who walk on two legs and appear human, and who live in tunnels and caverns inside the earth. They are the race of gods known as the Anunnaki in the Babylonian creation myth, Enûma Eliš who share almost identical parallels across the ancient world cultures.[39] Lewis and Kahn write that Icke has taken his "ancient astronaut" narrative from the Jewish Azeri-American writer, Zecharia Sitchin.[40] Icke's idea of "inner-earth reptilians" is also not new, though Barkun writes that Icke has done more than most to expand it.[41]
Lewis and Kahn write that Sitchin argued—for example in Divine Encounters (1995)—that the Anunnaki came to Earth for its precious metals. Icke says they came specifically for "monoatomic gold," a mineral he says can increase the carrying capacity of the nervous system ten thousandfold. After ingesting it, they can process vast amounts of information, speed up trans-dimensional travel, and shapeshift from reptilian to human form.[40] They use human fear, guilt, and aggression as energy. "Thus we have the encouragement of wars," he wrote in 1999, "human genocide, the mass slaughter of animals, sexual perversions which create highly charged negative energy, and black magic ritual and sacrifice which takes place on a scale that will stagger those who have not studied the subject."[42]
He writes that the Anunnaki have crossbred with human beings, the breeding lines chosen for political reasons. Icke argued that they are the Watchers, the fallen angels, or "Grigori," who mated with human women in the Biblical apocrypha. Their first reptilian-human hybrid, possibly Adam, was created 200,000–300,000 years ago. There was a second breeding program around 30,000 years ago, and a third 7,000 years ago. It is the half-bloods of the third breeding program who today control the world, more Anunnaki than human, he argued. They have a powerful, hypnotic stare, the origin of the phrase to "give someone the evil eye," and their hybrid DNA allows them to shapeshift when they consume human blood.[43]
In Children of the Matrix (2001), he added that the Anunnaki bred with another extraterrestrial race called the "Nordics," who had blond hair and blue eyes, to produce a race of human slave masters, the Aryans. The Aryans retain many reptilian traits, including cold-blooded attitudes, a desire for top-down control, and an obsession with ritual, lending them a tendency toward fascism, rationalism, and racism.[44] Lewis and Kahn write that, with the Nordic hypothesis, Icke is mirroring standard claims by the far right that the Aryan bloodline has ruled the Earth throughout history. For Icke, Sumerian Kings and Egyptian pharaohs have all been Aryan reptilian humanoids, as have 43 American presidents and the Queen Mother, who he wrote in 2001 was "seriously reptilian." All have taken part in Satanic rituals, paedophilia, kidnapping of children, drug parties and murder, needed to satisfy their reptilian blood lust, which allows them to retain their temporary human form.[45]
Icke's claims are SO far-fetched and really quite bizaar! .... as outlined, in part, above. It is because of Icke that I have not been very interested in the movement of the "conspiracy theorists", .... The theory is especially problematic for me as it particulary marks Jewish people as the "baddies". Many or most of the marked families involved in "total world domination" are Jewish.
After WW1, Germany was in the pits for many years. Hitler inspired his ideology of national pride (some may argue that 'national pride' is not an ideology) by finding a scapegoat in the Jewish people who were then thriving economically and socially within Germany. He convinced the population that if those hateful Jews could be quelled, then Germany would be rid of ALL it's problems. He obviously did an excellent job of marking the scapegoat .....as the Jewish population counted in as 8 million before his campaign and ended in just 2 million.
I think there is some truth in what Icke is saying, but I believe he is not a good spokesperson for the job because he mixes some truth with ..... well, I don't know what; bizaar interpretatins to say the least. It is almost as if he might be schizophrenic or delusional or just simply "off".
What does he say that is true? I think it is fairly obvious, for instance, that America and most of her allies, are caught up in imperialism (as Icke tries to express through his John Wayne analogy). America did not even join the fight to end Hitler's rule until very late in the game. It is so ironic that Canada had some American soldiers coming over to join the Canadian army to fight Hitler and then years later, different American citizens coming over to dodge the draft during Viet Nam.
Yet I can't say that i discount all the theories put forth by the conspiracists. I see the basic integrity of Obama and I also see that he is hog-tied. He made all kinds of promises that he has not kept which leads me to wonder if all presidents are hog-tied, some willingly and some not so willingly.
Seems to me that the corporations are really in power and have a huge amount of vetoing power. Was it ever up to Bush to invade iraq? Or was he just the mouthpiece? Obama promised to allow labelling of GMO's but it hasn't happened yet .... he promised to find alternatives to oil but that was a riiculous promise really. There is WAY too much money in drilling and those who stand to make profit from it are already rich and with much power. They would never let some little american president put an end to their drillling party! Possibly the only difference between Bush and Obama is that Bush had no idea just how hog-tied he was.
There is probably much truth in the conspiracy theories, but i would bet that a lot of fantasy gets mixed in with it.
Also, who finances the corporations? The banks.
I know, I know .... Rothchilds, Bildebergs, etc ..... maybe something to consider. But finding scapegoats is part of the shadow of the human psyche. Don't let it grab you!
I HAVE SEEN THE ENEMY AND IT IS US!
And having said this, i would still consider the theories because it is clear that most in the rich countries seem to take it for granted that they must work 40 hours per week to make ends meet while their off-spring must then be institutionalized in schools so that they may also be conditioned to first learn, and then work! The history of schools pretty much began with the industrial revolution in England where parents were taken from their farms and the children needed to then be educated to work in the same factories.
I'm just not sure how much of our present situation is "us vs. them", or simply just us.
We are one, afterall.
