Some unfortunate dude is driving a high-tech machine with many killing/dominating capabilities, and yet he wants to use a low-tech weapon, a sword, to actually make contact with his apparant opponent. How is it funny?

I'm not saying it's not funny , ... but it probably isn't according to my particular sensibilities, and yet, to yours .....? I don't really get the possible humour.

Maybe the guy doesn't want to use an impersonal method of killing; Maybe he wants it to be more personal?

I have no idea.
