Contrary to John Keat's first and second law of Aesthetics ('beauty is truth, truth is beauty') , it appears to me truth and beauty are a million miles apart. Keat's very own ode on its own merit, while denying this by precept, bears it out by example. Truth preoccupies the alethic pole of the intellectual sphere and beauty perhaps the aesthetic pole. Both standing side by side can be admired in their very own intrinsic nature.

Can they both be reconciled?

Yes, banned from public television but not from the internet, eh? I mean, who watches public television any more? I rarely watch it....cept for some diversions like football, and a few shows that AMC and FX show.

Edited to add: I also watch MSNBC for shits and giggles every now and then. Just to watch and laugh at how they explain the current state of the markets and economics
