Perhaps I'm off on the wrong foot here but if we're writing green-themed stories, if we have 'bad guys'; who will they be?

'Big' goverment?
Greedy business + industry?
The public in general, due to lack of empathy?
Or the whole human race; if one believes modern living is simply impossible to make compatable with mother nature?

unrealistic optimists? "scientists will come up with a solution"

note that I am an unrealistic capitalistic optimist "energy prices will get high enough that everyone will go green to save money"

It's a touchy business; the approuch one wishes to take. The trick is to recognize what the problems are.

Example; big business is one of the biggest offenders, in term of polullion. But big business is a natural outcome of a capitalist system. If you attacks the pollution from big business; is one also attacking capitalism?

One has to be certain to show solutions are perfectly possible and workable; within a capitlistic system.

There may be 'bad guys'; but extra time and consideration must be taken to be sure we know who they are and how they're portrayed.

'Big' goverment?- 41 billion into oil subsidies, I think yes. However, most of the time the government allows bad things to happen, rather than cause problams.

Greedy business + industry?- Yep. They are the reasons why government isn't doing anything.

The public in general, due to lack of empathy?- Absolutely. They are the reason why greedy businesses do well.

Or the whole human race; if one believes modern living is simply impossible to make compatable with mother nature?- We are nature. We can live good lives and cause minimal harm to the envrionment. It's true that the way we live causes problems, but if we went back to the stone age, we still would be harming the environment, although not to the extreme.

Holy crap this was over 3 years ago.
