Does Heartland even check the resumes of the people working for them?

The Heartland case sort of backfired on the Proponents when it was revealed that one of the scientists supporting their cause (Gleick) was found to have stolen them.

The document that was most incriminating, the 2012 Climate Strategy Document turned out to be a fake as well.

What it shows, is that there is dishonesty on both sides of the debate, with skeptics and proponents alike resorting to stolen documents to try and prove their points.

The admission of getting the documents under false pretenses. Why admit to that and not to modification of a document claimed to be falsified?

In an effort to do so, and in a serious lapse of my own and professional judgment and ethics, I solicited and received additional materials directly from the Heartland Institute under someone else's name. The materials the Heartland Institute sent to me confirmed many of the facts in the original document, including especially their 2012 fundraising strategy and budget. I forwarded, anonymously, the documents I had received to a set of journalists and experts working on climate issues. I can explicitly confirm, as can the Heartland Institute, that the documents they emailed to me are identical to the documents that have been made public. I made no changes or alterations of any kind to any of the Heartland Institute documents or to the original anonymous communication. [emphasis added]

Heartland Institute sucks, and I'm a green Republican. The "debate" was over a long time ago. What has gone on is criminal delay in doing significant steps in time to stop thermageddon, just like nothing was done to reduce population to prevent the crash when there was still time. Nixon addressed congress about it and Clinton shut down and destroyed good Gen IV plans. GenIVs, solar, wind, and wave/tidal were our way out, not taken until the passage of the CH4 self release from tundra deposits and later to oceanic deposits. All for business as usual economics, feel good trinkets, political correctness, and sinful uncaring greed and stupidity. Ecocidal insanity.
