That's what it seems to have been all this winter.

A lot of the computer models were predicting that a prolonged cool spell would come in the mid to long range, but it never came.

Now the latest guidance that came in today is even warmer than yesterday, and even stronger with the warm spell in the 6-10 day range.

This map is another computer model, the ECMWF Ensembles, and these Ensembles are predicting an incredible torch in the long range for the eastern two thirds of the country.

25-30 degrees above normal is really quite remarkable.

Marine Cloud Cover with an easterly flow off of the ocean cooled my temperatures from yesterday... got to the upper 50s as highs today which is still above normal...

I heard on the news that something like 1400 record high temperatures had been set so far this month.

Wouldn't surprise me. North America has been much above normal during that timeframe.

Looks like 70s return IMBY early next week... maybe an 80 degree reading...

Reached 77 Degrees Today, and the low forecasted for today is 5 degrees above the average high.... #-o :crazy:
