Why should we use Solar panels?

I think the main reason is cuts electricity bills,ECO friendly,Low maintenance cost,High ROI,etc.......

I like mine because they charge my L-16 battery banks which drive my inverters to run a relatively normal house, day and night. I pay no electric bills and the money invested in self installation of the whole thing paid off itself years ago. I had also done all the other work and the low mortgage was paid off not long after the solar electric system paid for itself.
Yet it saddens me that no others in this perfect location have done the same. 15 years and I am still the only one in the near vicinity. I guess I am of a small minority with the moxie to have done it. Others are just to stupid, ignorant, lazy, or uncaring. Not many have that pioneering spirit or the vital need of independence, like our forefathers had.

Thanks for sharing your views ,Solar panels use renewable source to produce electricity which is good for environment,I think this is the best way to save planet.

We should use Solar because , we have done a lot harm in emitting CO2 from thermal power plants and warming the planet.
Solar energy is free and non polluting.

independence... if you lose your job, you are not in the dark. If the grid goes down, you can laugh at the world scrabbling to survive while you have "life as usual".

I agree with you many people opt for a solar installation because they want to reduce carbon footprint.

Actually you are more then just replacing electricity. Power lines are not very efficient (waste heat and electromagnetic energy) and copper is energy-expensive to make and new power lines need to be made to try to meet the increasing demand for electricity. Making 1 watt of power at your house is about the equivalent of making 2 or more watts at the source of the energy. If you can eliminate any power need at peak-use times, you also save the use of natural gas and coal for electricity production as they are used mostly to top up the energy from less polluting sources when the demand is too high.

I think you are right we can also use other alternate green option to reduce pollution.
