If the fight over references to God in their platform weren't fodder enough for the Republicans, the Democrats (their leaders, at least) go and show what they really think of a voting process...with their own delegates no less.

Dem delegates, leaders struggle to explain floor fight over God, Jerusalem platform change

Plus outright racism;
http://www.youtube-nocookie.com/embed/BdjoHA5ocwU?rel=0

And outright felony lawbreaking by the dems;
(Washington, D.C.) The decision to have an illegal alien address the Democratic National Convention last night [September 4, 2012] is indicative of the party leadership's efforts to delegitimize and undermine U.S. immigration laws, charged the Federation for American Immigration Reform (FAIR). Benita Veliz, an illegal alien, received a rousing reception from the party faithful.

"In choosing to have someone who defiantly remains present in the United States in violation of federal law address the convention during prime time is nothing more than a celebration of lawlessness. And by celebrating illegal immigration, the Democratic Party is sending a clear message that our immigration laws are not only inconsequential, but that the people who break our laws are heroes," said Dan Stein, president of FAIR. "Lost in the Democrats' celebration of those who break our laws is any acknowledgement of the impact of illegal immigration on American workers and taxpayers, or the responsibility of parents who bring their kids the United States illegally."

The address by Ms. Veliz comes on the heels of President Obama's decision to grant deferred action and work authorization to millions of illegal aliens under the age of 31. These beneficiaries of the president's backdoor amnesty will compete directly with younger American workers who have been disproportionally harmed by the recession. In addition, the Obama administration openly refused on Wednesday to take action against ten illegal aliens who were arrested while protesting outside the Charlotte convention center.

"Americans do not lack compassion for people like Ms. Veliz. But they do recognize the concrete harm that the decisions made by illegal alien parents to violate our immigration laws have on the American people and legal immigrants who have played by the rules," said Stein. "Unfortunately, the Democratic Party Machine seems lacking in compassion for the people our immigration laws are supposed to protect, and are instead using illegal aliens to segment the electorate and pander to narrow interests in hopes of cobbling together an electoral majority.

"The American people have seen an unprecedented assault on our immigration laws over the past three and a half years. The decision by the Democratic Party to applaud and celebrate illegal immigration at their national convention is a clear indication of the party's intent to eliminate the last vestiges of distinction between those who are lawful members of our nation and those crash our gates," Stein concluded.

This election is starting to look less like a choice between Darth Vader and Emperor and more like a one between Wile E. Coyote and Satan himself. I guess that would make Ron Paul the Road Runner....or God, depending on whether or not you're a Ron Paul fan.

Sandra Fluke? Really? :lol:

Please, don't make it any easier for me.

Hey, Fosgate. Who is Sandra Fluke? Wilie E. Coyote? I know Obama is Satan-like.
A quote from an article at CAIRCO;
"Greek historian Herodotus wrote 2,500 years ago, “Man stalks across the landscape, and deserts follow in his footsteps.” Indeed, even Plato saw the impact of man upon the land. Much later, Abraham Lincoln’s ambassador to Italy and Turkey reported similar environmental destruction and scalped landscapes. Even President Nixon acknowledged the challenge of curtailing population growth."
I wonder. If they have enough money to buy off judges, they probably have enough to jinx voting machines.

Looking on from the outside, it seems to me that the only real difference between the Republican and Democratic Parties is that the Republicans have a base of support that buys in to the ridiculous baggage of supply side economics that taxes the poor and gives to the rich. As long as they build an electrified fence at the Mexican border, and ban abortion and birth control, most of the low information and low intelligence "Tea Party" Republicans will have enough wedge issues to support their billionaire overlords.

But, for the Democrats it's a whole different story. They are still beholden to the same corporate interests, but they have to serve out a lot of BS to their supporters about how they will fight the bankers and the oil executives....this time...trust us! Aside from some great speeches, I find the Democratic get-togethers even more depressing than the Republicans, because the Repubs take their despotism straight, while the Democratic speakers and media mouthpieces have to mix in lies and hypocrisy to get enough supporters to drink their koolaid.

The problem is that both sides lie, and have enough money to make people believe them, and enough money to change electronic voting machines or buy miss-counts. They both have their version of "growth" as a mantra, which is impossible on a planet in overshoot. The mention of growth makes me sick.
Not all the Tea Party people are dummies, and Obama is lying (and outright breaking the law) much more than Romney. The Tea Party is an effort to get back to obeying the US Constitution, like Art 4 Sect 4 and Art 3 Sect 3. Stop the treason, and stop and reverse the invasion. (which the Dems support for more dumb votes)
The corruption is rampant in both parties. Manipulation of the Electoral College system gives inordinate power to areas of gross overpopulation, and a large area of one party in a state can be overwhelmed by the more populous non-environmental over-breeders' nests.
So my state has a governor very guilty of felony Federal law breaking, and the same with its two Senators. What used to be a conservation conservative state has turned mostly liberal from invaders and their encouragers, liberal California escapees who let their state go to invasion ruin. The dems as well as the repubs are given money by the frackers. The repub districts are outnumbered by the dems now, and the whole state goes to them, so our votes don't even count, it seems.
There are green republicans in the mold of Theodore Roosevelt, but most are greedy or dumb Reaganites. The dems are polluted by foreign special interests and dirty oil/coal/gas money. They like to spend way more than they take in. The policies that led to the present recession were from Clinton wanting to give easy loans to minorities and other unqualified loanees, who were taken in by corrupt balloon payment scam artists, and/or lost their jobs to illegals or other legal foreigners.
When the USA needs a guy like Theodore Roosevelt or even Dwight Eisenhower, we have the choice between cancerous(D) and non cancerous(R) growth mongers who seemingly don't care about the effects of overpopulation and not enough about depletion and pollution.
The road still leads to hell, but on one road, we get to keep our guns. Romney is a Lifetime NRA member and so am I. Romney has a B- from NumbersUSA while Obama has an F-, and I always go with the best grades. :angel: 8) :mrgreen:
