perhaps...just perhaps this will be the impetus this country needs to make much needed reforms. a good start would be our Congress. It's past time to do away with all the perks that have been established by the body by, for, and of themselves. Term limits, retirement, health care to name a few. This country of our fore fathers has been altered so drastically and at such expense to the populace by career politicans who have but one thought in mind >financial power.

These now 40 states seeking secession should convene a constitutional reform committee and make the necessary changes to get us back to our roots. If not adopted by our current convening body, then that overwhelming majority should join and become THE United States of America. Now it is all 50 states!!!!)

What is wrong with this country besides overpopulation and a worthless Senate and Admin that need to be replaced??
Well reduce all gov't pay 50% and restart the draft, enforce Title8USC1324iv and Title8USC1325 with collection of all fines owed and deportations of all illegals, rescinding anchor baby citizenships back to 1982 and put them on some small island. Increase the death penalty to all three time burglars on up, and outlaw V8s(and similar large engines) and only allow hybrid and electric personal vehicles. All new housing and building must be Earthship/straw bale/eco. All fixtures/appliances in houses to be low water use and energy star rated. Replace all coal fired power plants with Gen IV nuclear within 7 years.
Reduce jet traffic 90% ASAP. Force the payment of the National Debt with the fines above and geometric tax increases with getting rid of generational welfare, and force a balanced budget with surpluses to pay off the debt and repair infrastructure. No more unbalanced trade. Stress back to basics Constitutional government and local goods, along with no tax write-offs for kids and parents pay entirely for children's education. Low eco footprint living stressed as necessary for the survival of country and biosphere.
