The country is doomed from overpopulation like the rest of the world. The government will collapse from debt before the mass die-off happens(along with depression, hyperinflation, police state attempts---thanks Dems and Bama). Growth madness, ecocide. The country is "doomed" because of heavy borrowing and spending across the board the last three decades. Heavy financial speculation by the financial elite, leading to a global unregulated derivatives market of between $600 trillion to $1.5 quadrillion in notional value, didn't help.

I have read where this year will see a food crisis and further devaluation of the dollar. So buy food, ammo, guns, gold and silver, biodiesel makers, independent solar electric system components, and private wind generators----while you can.
