People will not even be humane to other humans once the crash starts!

When did the crash start? Is it happening yet? Are we kind now?
Were we kind when the crash started? When did it start?

Is it happening now?
Are we kind now, or were we more kind then?
Should we stop being kind, just in case it starts now?

Maybe we should start practicing for being unkind now, since it going to start soon.
Better be prepared for the unkind times .... by being unkind now.

The "crash" could happen anytime now ..... best get prepared by getting unkind now, ... for then.
One must be prepared for the unkind times. Let's practice.

What a joke!!!

Quorn is derived from mushrooms. The UK has the ideal weather conditions for growing mushrooms. We can grow them at will by the million, we certainly don't need to import them.

Tofu is derived from soya. 85% of global soya production is used for animal feed!!! The majority of what's left is used as a filler in processed food, even processed meat products. The bulk of what's left after that is used for tofu - most of which is eaten by non-vegetarian Chinese people.
Here in the UK livestock spends all the winter and part of the autumn 'housed' indoors because its too wet and cold for them to be outside. And a large part of their diet is soya feed!

Not really, the animal feed portion is after they harvest the oil, which is the primary use of soy.

http://www.soyatech.com/soy_facts.htm

About 85 percent of the world’s soybeans are processed, or "crushed," annually into soybean meal and oil. Approximately 98 percent of the soybean meal that is crushed is further processed into animal feed with the balance used to make soy flour and proteins. Of the oil fraction, 95 percent is consumed as edible oil; the rest is used for industrial products such as fatty acids, soaps and biodiesel.

The oil is ~45% of the seed, which is why it is produced. Oil production leaves meal as mostly a byproduct that is also useful as an animal feed. A good mixture of uses when the whole truth is known.

The meat industry is filled with animal welfare laws. The production of crops kills many more sentient being from crickets right up to bears & deer but not one welfare law is found in all that collateral damage which shoots, poisons, cuts to pieces with heavy machinery,& burns to death many more animals. Wonder why Vegans aren't fighting to put animal welfare laws in their cornflakes or sugar bowls. ?
