Thermageddon is another name for Anthropocene Epoch Thermal Maximum. It includes the finish of the Sixth Great Extinction with an ELE of 85-90%. Similar to PETM but at a rate over ten times faster and more ending CO2, so a much higher temperature(+29 to 32*F from 20th century norm), longer resequestration of CO2 (230 K years), and
longer to get back eco-systems and new species to be equivalent to what it was at the time of the beginning of this interglacial epoch. The ice age cycle, of course, will be disrupted for two cycles.

I would argue that both an e-reader and a book could both easily lose their contents:

Water (electrical damage or bleeding through pages)
Fire (will destroy either)
Sunlight (will fade a book)
Pages can be torn
E-readers can be dropped

I did say books were not as easily damaged, not they were impervious to damage. Anything that will destroy a book will also harm an e-reader, but everything that will destroy an e-reader will not destroy a book. Since I have seen many forms of stroage media come and go, the only constant has been printed media. Tape drives, huge floppy discs, smaller floppy discs, etc. have come and gone. The electronic documents I wrote decades ago in Word will still open, however, there are small changes especially in the special fonts etc. which may eventually render them useless documents.
