Three-Quarters of Climate Change Is Man-Made
An independent study quantifies the human and natural contributions, with solar radiation contributing only minimally

Natural climate variability is extremely unlikely to have contributed more than about one-quarter of the temperature rise observed in the past 60 years, reports a pair of Swiss climate modelers in a paper published online December 4. Most of the observed warming—at least 74 percent—is almost certainly due to human activity, they write in Nature Geoscience.

To be fair, I'm surpised we only caused three quarters, would have thought it's even more ... sad indeed, and yet I still meet people who are in complete denial and tell me about natural climate cycles and sunspots etc... the usual sceptics arguments. Anyways, all that being said, I still believe we can make it through, somehow, adapt as we always have. But we all know who will suffer most from global warming, which is all the more tragic considering they are not the ones who caused the problems in the first place.

Oh lord, I had not seen the initial post was so old! I had assumed it was recent, sorry about that, guess I wasn't paying enough attention. Yes I heard of him...I can't believe people are still sceptical about this, when the evidence is so overwhelming. I had a presentation at university the other day, the topic being the potential effects of climate change on Mediterranean fish, and one of the professors marking us (he is specialised on algae) started telling us how this wasn't proven at all and how we are still not sure climate change is happening. Me and my group mate were dumbstruck. We thought he was a knowledgeable scientist up to this point. He now lost all scientific credibility in my eyes he might have had before. I just don't get it.

Sciences can be too focused to the point of ignorance of other sciences and math. Psychologically, many can not see ahead, or are an influenced or naturally a minimalist/optimistic type.
Religions, cultures, and politics tend to do this or other avoidance of data. The best understanding comes from a multi-disciplinary education and math without anything affecting logic.
There are topics here including the oceans and fisheries, and plastic and pollution, warming and acidification.

With all the cheating and data manipulation going on I'd say 100 percent of climate change is man made.

I was meaning topics here on the pages of the Environmental Issues, Tilleul. There was even more before. I wish that I could report a change in direction for all the efforts of the past 48 years for me. That was bad enough to find out in Advanced Biology/Ecology, in college. I chose geology, then went to professional flying for a while. Then building, all trades and architecture/field engineering. The hunger for knowledge has always been there. New data, new discipline outlook, math---it is not that easy, even for me.
I think we are indeed in Open Arctic Ocean Runaway(since 2007), leading to Arctic Tundra Methane Self-Release in 5 to 13 years, exponential warming, oceanic methane releases, and an oven planet in several thousand years. When will the last tree on Earth burn?? 2115?
Because of ignorance, and people like milt bananas, there is very little time left for even a chance to stop thermageddon. You know only about one out of 400 gets it and about 1/10th of those live it like me. Not enough to change the course of the majority of humanity on this Titanic voyage to overpopulation hell and global terminal extinction. The only thing that could possibly stop this madness is intervention from God. I pray for Him to blow Yellowstone prematurely tomorrow, or something like that, maybe a little more selective of people who lived sustainably without greed, like He originally wanted.

When the data doesn't support an argument, people invoke data manipulation.

When people invoke data manipulation, they probably have a very weak, tenuous argument.

Even the data can manipulate but the weather cannot. We can see the changes in weather.
