We're at opposites on a lot of stuff, but you seem a pretty good egg, Josh. I just thought you displayed a little frustration lately, and figured to lighten up the mood a little.

When are the AR folks going to realize we Animal use folk have a working relationship with animals that can be tracked back to the caveman days through ancestry. Animal Concerns are of obvious importance to us and narrow scoping the issues is not fair to humans nor animals. I think the major problem for the AR to get their heads around is that We animal use people do care about animals. Some of us are willing to exchange dialog with people who would dictate how animals are to be treated and some of those dictators wouldn't know the difference between a cow,steer and bull in a field. By the way Debunking Animal Rights Myths doesn't equate to AR bashing. It is debunking unbelievable claims of some ARA who have created some pretty obvious myths.

"Rube": unsophisticated; unintelligent (as a "country bumpkin" is presumed to be).

As in (contextually, within my post): You're being played for a rube (as relating to the statement made in my previous post: "You're being played like a fiddle").

As in (contextually, within my post): "I'm clear now on . . . the kind of person you are (a rube . . .)." That is: you are one who is allowing himself to be played for a rube. I conceived of two possibilities: 1) you're an unknowing rube, but one whose gullibility nevertheless reveals a fundamental antipathy to animal advocates (and hence is something of a shit as far as animals are concerned); 2) you're not a rube (though you look like one), just fundamentally antipathetic to animal advocates, particularly those who identify themselves with AR. Hence the "and/or".

"Fairly well" is a matter of opinion. I imagine the hundreds (thousands?) of people who came to this forum over the past 14 years expecting to find actual support for their animal concerns, then left after a matter of a couple of posts and a couple of days, might hold a different opinion than yours. And I'd expect the number of such people to rise ever more rapidly, given that you plan to continue managing the forum as you currently do.

Note: Your attempt to use humor to draw me into the fold (my presumption, but I think I'm correct) was not unappreciated. It's unaccepted, but not unappreciated.
