In one patch of land I have been involved in we have had:
12 fridges dumped in a wetland (heron nesting area)
6 shopping trolleys in a stream
2 wheelchairs (name of hospital on them)
a burnt out car dumped by joyriders.
A fox cub with its guts exploded by a firework that same night same place.
Plus every week clearing incredible amounts of litter.
This is an area where otters are being reintroduced after we have managed to eradicate and relocate mink freed by animal rights activists in the seventies.
You are out of your tiny mind if you think any of this was done by country people. Its all townie dumping.
Anything that can be utilised by a farmer will be. Our first car twenty three years ago is still being used by one farmer to deliver haylage to his top livery yard. The disposable culture just does not exist here for rural people.
the only bad eggs in the country are the idiots who move in from the town and don't understand how the countryside works. And the farmers who have been forced to plant rape because there is no market for their animals.
There is a huge difference between urban and rural culture wherever you go on the planet. Sure there is bad among even the noble savage. But one thing is for sure. NOBODY wastes anything, let alone dumps it.
You show me a 50 year old car that may have been left by a farmer but I can guarantee you if it was he used it for a good twenty years more than a townie.
just what i've seen too. tires being dumped is the #1 thing. people dumping fridges, even tossing out bags full of trash on my road.....it aint
my neighbors in the country dumping.
