I hear muck is good for gardens.. helps them grow.
The bulbs we planted a couple weeks ago are starting to sprout.
Woo-hoo! Should be seeing flowers in a few weeks.
Oi.. we still have a bunch of trees to plant.
Word to the wise.. unless you have a bunch of friends who want to plant trees, don't buy trees from the forest service! They come in bundles of like 50.. and you get a few different bundles. We've got 13 trees that we have to untangle to plant.. stupid nursery we bought them from shipped them to us all jumbled together. This is their current location.. until we figure out what the heck to do with them.
The big project we're going to start in a couple weeks is planting a row of pine trees (I think they're pine trees.. we just refer to them as the "Christmas trees") in the backyard. It's a big project because we've got to put up fencing to keep the dogs from eating them. They already gnawed on the cherry tree and the other tree in the backyard.
I'm beginning to hate trees.
*sigh* I forgot the "cone" plants. We've got thirty of them that we have to plant. I don't even know what the heck a cone plant is.. but it better grow something like ice cream cones for all the trouble they've been.
Oh. The tomatos, strawberries, and peppers are starting to grow as well. If they keep doing well we might actually have them in a few months. They're staying inside so they don't have to fight the elements.
