I'm finding all sorts of interesting words in this job..

Today's word is:
Cervid
n : distinguished from Bovidae by the male's having solid deciduous antlers [syn: deer]

According to 2005 WIS. ACT 286 section 3, 29.001(19)

"'Cervid' means any species of deer or elk that is present in the wild and that is not a farm-raised deer."

Hey, I actually knew that one. But I didn't realize that farm-raised didn't count. Why would that matter?

My guess is that they just don't count in this particular section of the act.

An Act to repeal (insert bunch of section numbers here cause I don't feel like typing them all out) of the statutes; relating to: agreements to idemnify persons who process or dispose of carcasses with chronic wasting disease; access to tissue or disease data from wild animals; the regulation of the transportation, possession, control, storage, or disposal of the carcass of a cervid from chronic wasting disease control zone or a state with confirmed chronic wasting disease; hunting deer in a chronic wasting disease control zone with confirmed chronic wasting disease; granting rule-making authority; and making an appropriation.

Flurgh.. my hand is wasted just typing that.

I suppose.. after a while of reading lots of stats and stuff it all kind of melds together and turns into one giant mass of letters. :D

Wishy Washy. Lots of that around here today.

oooh that reminds me of a joke I heard as a kid, but you have to act it out as you tell it so I'll try to improvise.

Woman washing shirt:

imagine a woman from the old days dunking shirts in & out of a sink full of suds then a clear sink of water while she sings:

Wishy washy in Blue Cheer
Rinsy rinsy over here.
Woman lifts shirt to nose, goes ahhhhhh and smiles.

Woman washing sweater:

Wishy washy in Blue Cheer
Rinsy rinsy over here.
Woman lifts sweater to nose and goes awwwwww and smiles.

Woman washing panties:
Wishy washy in Blue Cheer
Rinsy rinsy over here

Woman lifts panties to nose to smell.

Wishy washy in Blue Cheer
Rinsy rinsy over here.

LOL get it?

If I remember correctly from English, that would be one word. It's a hyphenated compound word, right?

HAHA! Well, that's funny until you actually have to deal with something like that yourself.....so that grapevine tells me.

Could be.. I don't have my Comp book handy to check.

I still think it's cheating.
