Bobby, best wishes in your effort. I really hope you are successful.

Save Our Springs Alliance in Austin has been hugely successful. Barton Springs, a beautiful river that runs directly through central Austin, the Capitol city of Texas, is swimmable. I am so PROUD of that fact, and so grateful to the environmentalists who won't lay back and take private businesses ruining the city. Most recently wealthy developer Gary Bradley tried to put a private golf course in the watershed of Barton Springs, and thank God Save Our Springs alliance was there fighting tooth and nail to stop it. Enough is enough of private businesses, and their buddies in city hall, ruining public access waterways.

I think if you contact Save Our Springs Alliance in Austin, you'll get a lot of help. Initially I'd give you the advice of making your website more clear - it took some doing to figure out where you are. It's a pretty website, but not really hard enough to get the point across - the initial page needs to clearly state where you are (like, a map of the US with a star on your town), and a clear link for volunteers to sign up for rallys.

Best wishes. You're doing the right thing.
