but we could use some rain here. Maybe it will rain tomorrow as I have jury duty and will have to walk three blocks from the parking garage to the courthouse. Going through security with an umbrella is always fun there.

Best wishes with the jury duty. Hope it doesn't go on too long.
I was summoned for jury duty in Jan 2005 ,but had to have a postponement due to my heart op on 12th Jan 2005. It was put forward until June 2005. I fell and fractured my left arm in 2 places 10 days into the case and had to attend with my arm in a sling. It was a very important civil case in the Crown court which was unusual...it was a test case and lasted 4 and half weeks. Didn't see any Summer that year.
My point is my patch on my heart set off the alarms as I went through security....great fun !
The only other place that has the alarms go off because of me is Boots the Chemist.

I can understand that. My wife has a long titanium rod in her leg with two pins now (had four and they took two out) that really does a number on the security sensors. Flying with her is always fun because they catch me too.
I had a friend who had so much shrapnel in him form Viet Nam that he had to carry a certificate from the Veterans administration to get through airport security and that was well before 9/11 .. I have no idea of how hard it would be for him now.
The last jury on which I served nearly cost me my Swiss Army pen knife because I left it in my pocket because it was attached to the vial of aspirins I carry with me .... the deputy held it for me until the end of the day. I almost had to buy her a beer to get it back though.
