Since 1989, Maui Tomorrow has been at the forefront of the community planning and land use issues on Maui - stopping the proposed Hana golf course, saving Big Beach (Makena) and Kamaole Point in Kihei, and opposing extension of the Kahului airport, to name a few.Maui Tomorrow is working to teach citizens and government decision makers the value of growth management strategies and sustainable development policies. To work toward an ecologically and economically sound future for Maui County, we conduct community forums and workshops on planning practices, testify at public hearings, distribute action alerts, and many other activities.
