Detailed Information:
This is the provincially recognized voice for naturalists and is composed of corporate member clubs as well as individual members. The Federation aims to promote a better understanding of natural history, to focus naturalists` efforts on conservation issues, to foster new naturalist clubs throughout the province, to stimulate natural history study by organizing workshops and other events and to promote the exchange of ideas among naturalists. FAN publishes a quarterly magazine, the Alberta Naturalist, which features topics from general natural history to updates on Alberta`s environmental issues.
