The Long Island Sound Foundation seeks to facilitate communication and education among a variety of groups and individuals concerned with Long Island Sound, including managers, environmental engineers and scientists, students, teachers, fishermen, boaters and the general public. Since 1992, the Foundation has sponsored a bienniel conference on Long Island Sound and provided supporters of the Sound an avenue to network and develop common programs.
