The Florida Design Initiative (FDI) is a forum for leadership from professional design associations, state gencies, local governments, utilities, and academic institutions in Florida.The mission of the Florida Design Initiative is to help design professionals and building owners reorient the building industry toward a new standard of practice includingthe design and construction of high-performance, energy-efficient buildings through better design practices, building commissioning and life-cycle costing.
